I just twitted the shit out of this. What's funny is that probably four times as many people might see it now as would have in the past if I'd put it on my site or something.

Really really entertaining. So tell me, how's editing going on episode 1? I can wait to spot this sumbitch.

It's going really well. I'm quite proud of it in terms of pacing and flow. I should have a rough cut of the whole thing tonight or tomorrow.

also, we may have actually timed it out well (this episode, anyway) cuz I'm roughly half way through and it's just over 5 minutes.

we were shooting for each episode to be about 10 min but I know episodes 2 and 5 will run long.

I also spent today making four posters and various promo picture things.

Remember, if you need to fill more time, use slow-mo.

SHOW DELAYED UNTIL JANUARY. SHOCKER.

multiple reasons.

realistically, the delay is not a big deal. and the good news is, when it hits- it will run one episode every week through March.

Ok, but those CGI effects had better be worth it...

thing is, while episodes 1 and 2 could've been ready to go for Oct. 27th- we really didn't have much else locked and loaded and I'd like to avoid massive gaps between episodes. Waiting will allow us to complete literally the entire first season and then just put them out once a week on a consistant basis.

also, I really felt like we didn't have a chance to build the thing up. I still had trailers I wanted to cut and clips and posters and stuff to put out. as well as launching this...

not much there yet at all. but at least the show has a home now.

I feel much better about the new plan.

and Eric, if you read this- the cue is great. I love it and so does Andrew. I honestly haven't had a chance to cut it into the show but stay on the path you're on.

Woot! Your silence had me worried, but good to know it's passed approval. Tomorrow begins my rotation of free days so I'll hopefully finish that cue up by Friday.

super delayed thanks to Tim for putting something on BT about the show!

Episode 3 is up.

And man, do I hate youtube. Seems like it arbitrarily decides when to make video look good and when to take a big shit on it. I've used literally all the same settings on everything and for some reason the episodes themselves look like dog shit. I suppose maybe cuz they're longer?

I need to find better settings or a better place to host.

MisterFilms,

In case I haven't said so; I really like the show. Good Job!

I believe Google is going to come out with a Google Drive, which may allow you to store the super mega resolution videos for free. You can store on paulofthewest.com, but download speed tops at 44KBPS, so that might not be that great of an idea.

Edit: keyword is MAY, because I don't know what they are planning. Also, you can use http://geocities.yahoo.com/ for free hosting of up to 15MB. As long as each episode < 15 MB then you can create a web page for each episode. There might be better, I dunno.

Forget that! I'm hooked up right now to with Mosso's Cloud Files which is like Google Drive will be maybe in the future if it doesn't suck!

Basically I get the service for free and can figure out how to host the videos if you need such a thing.

so I signed up on this other youtube-esque hosting site called Vimeo. Sarah, Andrew and I went in on a premium account (20 bucks per person for a year). This service basically gives you 5GB uploading per week (files no larger than 1 GB a piece) as well as player customization and blah blah blah. Also HD uploading if we ever needed it (I'd like to shoot Season 2 in HD).

Check it out and tell me what you guys think of the quality. It kinda screwed with the audio sync on the opening credits but that's fixable. I think this beats the hell out of youtube and am hoping to make this the primary embedding on the andrew and matt show site.
