Funny Games - UPDATE 2008-03-16 - CANCELLED!

Every now and then a movie comes along that I would like to see but know would bother Amber. This seems to be such a movie:

Seriously, she still gives me crap from time to time for accepting and then going along so enthusiastically with her idea that we watch Mulholland Drive. So what?! Its a great movie and it scares the shit out of me if I watch it by myself! Was letting her see it that wrong?

Anyone (Seth, Matt, and possibly Eric I guess) down for watching this on a Wednesday? It's playing at the Bijou.

Amber was talking about this when I met her for lunch today, and how she hated it.

You see, when I read reviews I scan the first sentence of each paragraph to see if its a plot spoiler and if it is then I read ahead. As a result, I thought this was supposed to be psychological horror or adventure type scary, not just people getting tortured.

I don't much feel like watching a torture movie, so I'll pass.

Seriously, though. It has Naomi Watts. There must be some redeeming feature to it.

fun fact: it's a shot by shot remake of a foreign film by the exact same director. I forget which country he's from.
